Lobster Boat Crew Saved

The 35-foot Buff Enough ran aground Wednesday morning near Bear Island in Penobscot Bay with eight people on board, but no one was injured, according to U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Ruben Colon on Thursday. The Buff Enough owner hailed the Coast Guard at 8:51 a.m. to report the Eastern-rig lobster boat turned pleasure vessel had hit bottom and was taking on water, Colon said. Coast Guard personnel at the Rockland Station launched a 47-foot motor lifeboat with a crew and headed for the scene. The Coast Guard crew passed a pump to the disabled vessel, which was able to remove water until a commercial vessel from TowBoat Castine arrived. Colon did not have the names of the boat owner or passengers. Once the Buff Enough was taken in tow the rescue crew returned to the station
