
Lobster take an average of 7 years to reach legal catch size
Nova Scotia - Two fishermen from Nova Scotia’s Shelburne County have been handed hefty fines in connection with possession of illegal lobsters. David Link was penalized $6,500 for having 69 undersized lobsters . Fishery officers discovered the haul at the Clarkes Harbour wharf last Nov. 29. On the same date, Andrew Goreham was caught with 30 undersized lobsters at the wharf in Woods harbor. He was given a $4,000 fine.
