Shrimp infected with white spot disease
Thua Thien Hue province,Viet Nam- Reports show that shrimp in over 30 hatchery stocks have died. The shrimp in 20 of the hatchery’s had died of white spot disease and the rest of unknown causes, now under investigation. The province’s Department for Protection of Aquatic Resources warned the epidemic was likely to spread due to the onset of warm weather, and called on farmers to destroy infected shrimp.
