Portland, Maine- Freedom has a price, in this case nearly $3400 for 300 lobsters.
Ten young people showed up at a lobster pound in Maine and bought all of the one-clawed lobsters, also known as culls. The lobster lovers called the crustaceans “God creatures” and vowed to free them. The group was told that it was very likely that the lobsters would just wander back into the lobster traps, and end up at the pound again, but the statement did nothing to stop their attempted lobster liberation.
